Recycling

Recycling helps to reduce the need for landfill and more expensive ways of disposing of rubbish such as incinerators. UK households waste one billion items every year that could be recycled.

It also:

  • prevents pollution
  • conserves natural resources
  • conserves energy
  • creates jobs, producing economic benefits

Do you know what, where, how and when?

According to Wiltshire Council who run our household recycling, the recycling rate increased in 2024 compared to the previous financial year (2022-2023) from 40% to 43.7% (figures subject to external validation).

Details of schedules and guides to what and how to recycle are on Wiltshire Council’s website https://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/rubbish-and-recycling
